Moissanite Engagement Rings
This 2 stone ring elegantly displays two offset 4mm stones in this simpler yet not of our Moissanite Engagement Rings. We can make this ring with larger stones and we have also created it with accents in the band.
Moissanite is a gemstone that originates in the heavens and was discovered in 1893 by Frenchmen Henri Moissan, who later won a Nobel Prize for Chemistry. In Arizona, he discovered small particles of the gem that would later be named after him, in a crater created by a meteorite that fell to Earth. He initially thought that he had found diamonds, but later decided that the crystals were composed of silicon carbide.
This is your typical 3 stone ring, but we turned the oval stones in an east west orientation. We really like this look and despite this post being about Moissanite, we like a colored stone in the center.
Natural moissanite is incredibly rare, so the majority of moissanite commercially available today is grown in a lab. After many years of trial and error, the particles Moissan discovered were successfully synthesized to produce what is now one of the world’s most fiery gemstones.
This Floral Split Shank Engagement Ring is one of the more unique engagement rings we have created. In it, the shank splits from a bezel set stone at 10 & 2 O’clock. From there, two diamond crusted leaves arch up to the center stone, almost as if holding the center stone up.
Moissanite is engineered to give the look of a diamond, but is is made of different molecules and visually quite different from a real diamond. The durability, brilliance, and color of the two gems are quite unique, making it perfect for Moissanite Engagement Rings. In fact, Moissanite will fool most diamond testers and they require a special tester to differentiate between the two. This is great for consumers wanting a Moissanite, but not good for the people who are sold Moissanite as Diamonds.
For similar sizes, moissanites are dramatically lower in price than diamonds of they are man made. Moissanite gems vary in price only based on size and the color grading of the stones.
Don’t know where to start when looking for Moissanite Engagement Rings? It is far easier than you think and can be done from the comfort of your own home!
This is one of our Moissanite Engagement Rings where the custom said “I want a halo engagement ring, but I don’t want a halo.” It took some time and some back and forth, but we came up with this semi halo design that is perfect for Moissanite Engagement Rings.
Because they are grown in controlled environments, moissanites require no mining to manufacture. Their provenance is usually therefore traceable and entirely eco-friendly. This makes Moissanite Engagement Rings extremely attractive to those concerned with such things.
This is another of our 2 stone rings. It was large, totaling almost 3 carats, but the stones could be smaller. The accents were French Pave set, but we could also make this with prong settings. We also have created it with graduated stones in the band.
Compared with natural gemstones, synthetic Moissanites have a much smaller carbon footprint and result in less environmental impact. Fine jewelry made with Moissanites and eco-friendly metals are a perfect way to help the planet out while also saving some money.

This Sculptural Solitaire Engagement Ring is a type of bypass ring that we just love. The shank is a wave of motion is it travels from one end of the ring to the opposite end. The 6 prong basket securely holds even the largest stone intact. This one is shown with a 5mm center stone, but smaller or larger could be used.

These Harry Potter Inspired Owl rings are cool rings just because they are cool. However, setting them with Moissanite and hand engraving the owl will definitely catch everyone’s eyes. We even added stones in the eyes of the owl…
Not everyone can afford a diamond. And many just aren’t interested in spending that much money on something you wear on your finger. Consequently, recent and current brides are obsessed with a non-diamond engagement ring that’s way cheaper than its sparkly cousin. Consequently, diamond dealers are taking notice. Debeers recently announced they would begin selling lab grown diamonds for $700 a carat. That is suspiciously close to the price for the center stones in most Moissanite Engagement Rings. Additionally, retailers like Robbins Brothers and Zales are now selling Moissanite Engagement Rings after thumbing their noses at it for years.
Until recently, Charles and Colvard had the Moissanite market cornered. However, recently, Asian manufacturers have figured out how to create Moissanite as white and clean as the forever one branded stones. Either way, these are good developments for both consumers and jewelers alike as customers will have more options as stone prices drop.
